In the rugged mountains of Honduras, Las Capucas, a coffee cooperative, is transforming lives with its commitment to excellence, social justice, and environmental sustainability. Women, holding the majority of seats in the General Assembly, drive the cooperative, which also provides essential services through a local health center and diversifies its income by cultivating honey. With over 900 members, Las Capucas produced an impressive 81,112 quintals of dry parchment coffee during the 2020-2021 harvest season, embodying hope and resilience.
